A man has been killed and a woman seriously injured after the vehicle they were in left the road and crashed into a tree on Victoria Embankment, this morning.

Rescue Care paramedic Garrith Jamieson said by the time paramedics arrived at the single vehicle crash scene there was nothing that could be done for the driver believed to be about 30 years old. He was declared deceased.
The woman passenger was stabilized and taken to hospital.It is not yet clear was caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and smash into the tree.
