Man accused of stabbing DUT student appears in court

The case was remanded to 6 November for bail consideration.

A 29-year-old man, accused of fatally stabbing and robbing 18 year-old Durban University of Technology student Sandile Ndlovu on 9 September as he sat studying in a study hall on the Steve Biko campus, appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

According the police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker, Msizi Mazibuko was arrested on Monday and was allegedly found in possession of a knife, which police believe may be the murder weapon, as well as Ndlovu’s cellphone.
