Calling emerging filmmakers

Film producers of African origin from all over the continent are invited to submit their films.

THE African Emerging Filmmakers Awards (AEFA) invite all filmmakers to submit their films by 2 November, ahead of the Awards Ceremony on 16 November at the Greyville Racecourse.

Film producers of African origin from all over the continent are invited to submit their films, from any genre, in a DVD format. Films which are submitted must be clearly marked with the film’s title, the producer’s name and the producer’s contact details.

The AEFA is a growing platform that encourages good quality productions. Films from local emerging film producers have been aired on national television after receiving awards or nominations at the AEFA.

Some of the nominated films will be screened at the eThekwini Film Market which will be on Saturday, 9 November. The public is invited to go see the films that are locally produced and get a chance to mingle with the directors, producers and actors.

Films can be either hand delivered during office hours or sent via post to Durban Film Office, 41 Margaret Mncadi Avenue, Rennie House, 11th Floor, no later than 2 November.

Regrettably, films with technical errors will not be considered.
