Sign donated to Umbilo SAPS

A new sign erected outside the Umbilo SAPS will help residents find where they should go when visiting the station.

A NEW sign, donated by National Security and Fire, has been erected outside the Umbilo SAPS to make the community aware of where to go to report cases when visiting the police station.

Heather Rorick, chairperson of the Umbilo CPF, has built a good relationship with the security company, and it was through her encouragement that Rosh Doolabh, from the security company, agreed to donate a new sign to the station.

Speaking on behalf of the station commander, Col John Romer, Lt Col Stanley Perumall thanked the security company for the generous donation.

“Funding for a new sign was in the pipeline through supply chain management, and the donation has saved us from funding this. We thank National for the kind donation as well as the partnership they have built with the station, through weekly blue light patrols and meetings,” he said.
