Durban July stars shine at Durban Fashion Fair
Greg Wallis, who for many years has been a pillar of the Vodacom Durban July pre-raceday and raceday fashion programme, was named as the Durban Fashion Legend for 2019.
THE annual Durban Fashion Fair ended in a thrilling climax at the International Convention Centre as the prestigious award ceremony shone the spotlight on the yea’rs trailblazers, and a number of the stars of the Vodacom Durban July fashion programme were honoured.
Greg Wallis, who for many years has been a pillar of the Vodacom Durban July pre-raceday and raceday fashion programme, received the ultimate accolade, named as the Durban Fashion Legend for 2019.
Wallis is a long standing mentor to emerging design talent in the region and is one of the regular judges of the Vodacom Durban July fashion competitions.

The award also included special recognition for the winner of this year’s Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Award presented by Durban Fashion Fair Makhosazane Ntshangase, a student at the Lindiwe Khuzwayo Academy of Fashion.
She was named as one of the Rising Star award winners along with fellow finalists in the Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Award, Bongie Funeka and Sizwe Mncube.
