Florida Road supports #Hatson4CPC

More than 20 shops and restaurants within the Florida Road District have thrown their support behind the initiative.

OCTOBER is always a busy month for Umduduzi – Hospice Care for Children, as it commemorates International #Hatson4CPC on 11 October .

While no one really wants to think about children being seriously ill, #Hatson4CPC aims to raise awareness of the needs of these children by asking supporters to wear a hat for the social media campaign. Children’s palliative care (CPC) is the holistic care of a child’s physical, emotional and social needs during a life-limiting or life-threatening illness.

Over 20 shops and restaurants in the Florida Road District are supporting the initiative by asking patrons to donate to Umduduzi. Leanne Hendricks of the House of Bravo said: “We are just so delighted to get behind this local project doing amazing work for these children in need.”  Local schools, Gordon Road and Clifton are also getting involved.
