THE World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend, an event that encourages girls from all over the world to try out the sport and have fun, is an annual event that takes place on Sunday, 6 October at Galleria Ice Rink from 8.30am to 9.30am.

KZN Ice Hockey Association is taking part in the event and inivtes girls from ages seven and older to take part.

The World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend is an opportunity for girls of all ages to try ice hockey. The Association is looking for hosts all around the world to bring girls from their community together on the ice so they can be introduced to basic skills in hockey in a positive, fun and safe environment, learn about opportunities in ice hockey in their community, learn about fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork and meet new friends and have a chance to fall in love with a new sport.
