Burman Bush security fencing goes up

Work to erect a fence around Burman Bush has finally started.

AFTER years of pleas for proper fencing around Burman Bush Nature Reserve and the tragic murder of Durban musician, Simon Miliken on 31 August last year, the City is finally having a fence erected.

In a video on social media, former ward 27 councillor Martin Meyer said the reserve was an important landmark in the ward and it was high time that it was properly fenced.

“The tourism potential alone at the reserve is immense and the potential for residents to use this wonderful area is just fantastic. We are very grateful that this fence is finally going up after all the years of fighting.”
