Aspiring models get ready for ramp debut

In September, Durban ICC will be holding the annual Durban Fashion Fair.

DURBAN fashion fundis will step out in designer style from 25 to 28 Septembe when the annual Durban Fashion Fair struts into town at the Durban ICC and surrounds.

After open casting calls earlier this yea, for “aspiring models” not affiliated to a model agency, the judges narrowed down the many candidates that were auditioned to 30 models.

These models are currently undertaking the DFF bootcamp programme designed to train them for their runway debut.

“This is the eighth instalment of the annual Durban Fashion Fair presented by the eThekwini Municipality. This investment by the municipality aims to improve the skills of aspiring models and trains them in all aspects of modelling,” said Sindi Shangase the programme manager for the Business Support, Tourism and Markets Unit.

Tickets will be on sale from mid-July at webtickets.co.za.
