UMBILO SAPS is investigating the discovery of the bodies of a man and woman in the area last week.
On Thursday, police reported that the body of the man was found at a container depot site opposite King Edward Hospital.
Capt Pumzile Makaula from Umbilo SAPS said the man’s body was found by construction workers in a drain around three metres in depth.
“Search and Rescue recovered the body. Cause of death is unknown and Umbilo Detectives will be investigating,” she said.

At the weekend, a case of murder was opened after a woman’s body was recovered from a canal along the M7 near the Rossburgh Licencing Office.The woman had reportedly gone missing from a nearby informal settlement two days prior to her body being found.
Umbilo SAPS is investigating.
