New Durban CPF members elected

Durban Central SAPS held its annual general meeting where a new CPF structure was elected and approved.

NEW community policing forum (CPF) members were elected at Durban Central SAPS’s recent annual general meeting.

The meeting was lead by Mpume Jobe of Community Safety and Liaison, the acting cluster commander, Brigadier Virginia Xhelithole, the station commanders, sector CPF members and the community at large.

The new chairperson is Goodman Xolani Cebekhulu. Mr Cebekhulu will be working with his new team, deputy chairperson Jabulani Sambo, secretary Caronesa Mitchelson, deputy secretary Cindy Allan, treasurer Gary Manthe, public relations officer Rajan Soojay, plus three other additional members, Anderson Moodley, Soraya Shaik and Londeka Sithole.

“We urge the community in the central business district and surroundings to work together with this new structure and support them in order to fight crime which is the purpose of the CPF,” said Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central.
