#IMadeMyMark: Durbanites cast their votes with pride (VIDEO)

The #SAElections2019 are running smoothly.

QUEUES have started to form at various voting stations across the eThekwini Municipality as residents line up to make their mark in the 2019 National Elections.

Russell Dimba was the first person to vote at the Denis Hurley Centre and said, “It’s not okay for people to abstain from voting,” he said.

“It’s important to vote because it’s our right, I believe my vote will make an impact.”

 

Dimba has been living on the street since 2008.

Durbanites who voted at the Port Natal Skool in Umbilo said they were “happy” to have done their duty for the country.

Andile Khozwana and Bongani Madida received their IDs today at the Denis Hurley Centre and went on to make their mark at the voting station.
