See the good, bad and bizarre side of India

A talk entitled Historical India, A Contemporary View, will be at Thomas More High School on Saturday, 23 March.

HIGHWAY Heritage Society hosts a talk entitled Historical India, A Contemporary View, in the Thomas More High School staff room, Kloof, on Saturday, 23 March at 2pm.

This unusual talk illustrates the good, the bad and the bizarre of historical Northern India – a most fascinating part of the country, often frenetic, at times even funny, but also filthy. With the same quirky humour as in his other immensely popular talks, Charles Botha shows photos that most tourists would never think of taking. This is definitely not a standard travelogue and is completely different from any such presentation you may have seen before. But, be warned, not all the pictures are pretty, so be prepared for some shocks. Some photos may offend sensitive viewers and children

Tea, coffee and eats are served after the presentation. Cost is R15 for members and R20 for visitors.

To book contact Marie Gurr on 031 705 3122 or marinev.gurr@gmail.com by 6pm on Thursday, 21 February to facilitate catering.
