New business support project launched

A new Umbilo Business support project was launched recently.

AS part of the Umbilo Business Forum (UBF) anti-grime drive, new member and entrant to the world of Umbilo business, Mongisi Msibi, was given the use of a new Nissan MP 200 and trailer.

Mo is enthusiastic about growing his business and has a street-cleaning sub-contract with eThekweni Municipality. As a start-up Mo needed mentorship, and the UBF, backed by Bidvest, have come to the party.

“Mo and the UBF share a vision of immaculate Umbilo streets, encouraging better service provision from the municipality, better property maintenance by owners, and hopefully better business and more jobs for all as grime is beaten back. Keep an eye out for Mo and his team as they tackle Umbilo Road cleaning. We hope he will also be awarded Gale and Sydney Road contracts so as to achieve total cleanliness in the area,” said Ian Campbell-Gillies from the UBF.
