Miss Eagle South Africa pageant highlights people who are beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside.

DURBAN’S Latalia Govender is a finalist Royal Princess for the Miss Eagle South Africa (MESA) 2018 beauty pageant. It is the largest online beauty pageant in South Africa and promotes women empowerment.

“I am not a perfect girl and have my insecurities but MESA has given me the opportunity to prove myself and has brought out the best out of me, from my shy comfort zone. Some people are still shocked that I entered such a competition and some challenges have been tough, yet I have overcome my fears,” she said.

Latalia said it has been an amazing achievement and ‘super exciting’ to be a part of this one of a kind pageant.

“I feel like I have encountered one of the biggest milestones in my life! I have a message to tell all girls out there that they should love and support one another instead of bringing each other down,” she said.

Latalia said she would be ecstatic if she won the title, as she has worked hard in the pageant to have gotten so far.

She is currently studying for her BCom Degree in marketing and business management, doing promotions as well as helping her mum with her cake business.

“In my free time I enjoy music, baking and doing creative art in any form,” she said.
