Durban to host prestigious Forbes women’s summit

The Forbes Woman Africa will bring together an Influential group of women in Durban on 8 March 2019 to stage the 4th Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit.

THE road to the 2019 Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit kicked-off in Durban last week, with senior leaders from both Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and Africa Business News sharing some of the details around plans for the forthcoming gathering.

“The theme for International Women’s Day 2019 is ‘Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change’. This is a call for women to focus on innovative ways in which we can advance gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure. We are optimistic that hosting such an event as this will empower us to face some of the challenges that causes inequality in society, especially between men and women,” said eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede.
