Guns banned from court

Security measures have been put in place at the Durban Magistrates court following last week's shooting.

FOLLOWING the tragic shooting at Durban Magistrates Court last week, guns have been banned at the court.

KwaMashu policeman Phumlani Chiliza shot his wife, Dibuseng Moss Chiliza and her brother, Gert Remoratile Moss in the court during divorce proceedings on Monday, then turned the gun on himself. He died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

Security measures have been put in place at the court and the Department of Justice is investigating the case.
