AfroGames for Durban

The event will serve to celebrate diversity and instil pride in the African LGBTI community through the use of sport and cultural events.

THE inaugural AfroGames 2018 will take place in Durban from 8 to 10 December at UKZN Howard College campus.

This event celebrates diversity and instils pride in the African LGBTI community through the use of sport and cultural events.

The event will include a LGBTI symposium Decolonising LGBTI Rights in Africa on 10 December, which will coincide with International Human Rights Day.

In line with Federation of Gay Games, the mission of the AfroGames 2018’s local organising committee is to promote equality, acceptance and pride through the organisation of a premiere African LGBTI+ and gay-friendly sports and cultural event known as the AfroGames 2018.

Contact deputy chairperson of AfroGames, Shaun Kruger on 084 368 9943 or visit www.afrogames.org.za for the schedule of events.
