Help solve rape case

Assistance is being sought by the Durban Central FCS Unit.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for assistance in a case of rape they are investigating.

According to Col Thembeka Mbele from provincial SAPS, it is alleged that on 24 June at 4.30pm, a woman went to the bathroom at her place of residence in Queen Street, Durban, when she was accosted by an unknown man who raped her.

“The victim in this case is mentally disturbed and she was instructed not to tell anyone about the rape. Police believe that the man they have an identikit of can assist in solving the case,” said Mbele.
