Community urged to attend crime meetings

Berea CPF and Bulwer Safety and Urban Regeneration Forum will host community meetings this month.

RESIDENTS are encouraged to attend community meetings this month, and to get involved in a partnership with the police to fight crime.

The Bulwer Safety and Urban Regeneration Forum (BSURF) will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, 13 November at Glenwood Community Church Hall, intersection of Clark and Bulwer Roads, at 6pm for 6.30pm.

There will be a speaker on the night. Tea/coffee will be served after the meeting which gives residents time to chat to one another and get to know each other as part of BSURF’s campaign in “Getting to know your Neighbour.”

Berea SAPS is hosting a CPF annual general meeting on 15 November at Durban Girls’ College, Musgrave Road, at 5.30pm for 6pm.

The community living in the area is urged to attend the meeting to find out what is being done to fight crime in the community.

“Together with the police, the community can help win the war against crime, as partnership policing has done well for us in the Berea precinct,” said Capt Poobalan Naidoo from Berea SAPS.
