THE Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hosted its annual Gala Dinner to commemorate and celebrate the organisation, its membership and the Durban business community as a whole since its inception in 1856.
This year the Durban Chamber partners with long-time member and platinum sponsor of the event, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Cruises, for the 162nd Annual Gala Dinner which will be hosted on Wednesday, 7 November at 6pm, aboard the MSC Musica, which will be docking in Africa for the first time.
The Durban Chamber has also brought on board, Vodacom and Huawei, who will be gold sponsors for the event.

As a major port City, the Durban Chamber wants all businesses to recognise and capitalise on business opportunities available and related to the ocean economy hence the theme for this year’s event is The World is Our Oyster.
Cost is R1 550 per seat for members and R1 800 for visitors, R7 250 for five seats for members and R8 500 for visitors and R13 500 for 10 seats for members and R16 000 for visitors.
