THE Sugarbabe Foundation will host an expected 500 children with diabetes at its annual picnic event on 17 November in honour of World Diabetes Day.
The Foundation was formed to provide support in the form of camps for children with diabetes. These children range in ages from infancy up to 18 years and are from different socio-economic groups and from all ethnic groups.
Racheal Pillay said: “We are seeking sponsorship for meals, sugar free cooldrinks, bottled water, yogurt, apples, oranges, paper plates, cups, serviettes, popcorn seeds, oil, salt, popcorn boxes or packets, gifts for our races, goodie bags, water bottles, wet wipes, tissues, and blue helium balloons.”
