Community spring cleans

The clean-up was facilitated by the Community Improvement Forum (CIF) of Musgrave, Asherville, Sydenham and Overport.

A COMMUNITY clean-up event was held at Berea Park in Musgrave recently to commemorate International Cleanup Day.

The event was facilitated by the Community Improvement Forum (CIF) of Musgrave, Asherville, Sydenham and Overport, supported by ward 31 councillor Chris Pappas and Durban Solid Waste.

Purifying and waste volunteer at the councillor’s office, Nicky Goss, stated, “I have a solid working association with DSW. We do standard clean-ups inside ward 31. Beyond what many would consider possible we attempt to cover each of the four regions, however Overport is our standard zone. Our clean-ups are a progressing venture as we attempt to get all networks to keep their regions clean. Our councillor likewise assumes a noteworthy part in this tidy up drive.”
