Glitz and glam at 20th anniversary bash

CAO celebrated its 20-year milestone at its Annual General Meeting at the Durban ICC.

THE Durban’s Central Applications Office (CAO) celebrated its 20-year milestone by releasing a coffee table book illustrating its achievements at its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 1 September at the Durban ICC.

Universities South Africa’s (USAf) chief executive, Prof Ahmed Bawa, delivered the keynote address at the AGM and the programme also included cultural performances and laughs aplenty courtesy of comedian Alfred Adriaan, the evening’s compère, top ventriloquist Conrad Koch and his sidekick Chester Missing.

The office processes applications for first-time admissions for what has grown to include all universities, universities of technology, most private and five TVET (Technical, Vocational, Education and Training) colleges in KwaZulu-Natal. This non-profit organisation, located in Mary Thiphe Street (previously Cato Manor Road), is the only organisation of its kind in South Africa.
