VIDEO: SAPS hosts Careers Day

The many career opportunities within the South African Police Services were showcased at a SAPS Careers Day held in Durban on Thursday.

THE South African Police Services hosted a Careers Day at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in Durban on Thursday during which locals were exposed to the various units within SAPS and the diverse work they do. Despite the grey skies and threatening rain, a number of people attended the event and left better informed on the possible careers they could follow within the police services.

The Anti Smuggling Unit is responsible for ensuring that counterfeit goods coming into South Africa through the Durban harbour are removed before they hit the streets.

The police band played as the drill team stood to attention.

Watching SAPS skydivers float down and land on the mark drew loud applause and cheers from the crowds who attended the Careers Day.
