Charities’ work recognised

"Lake, Smit & Partners likes to recognise these two worthy organisations every year by donating funds to support their work."

LAKE, Smit & Partners’ Breast Cancer Awareness Month donation to two local non-profit organisations is an annual event, now in its 8th year.

The handover was held at the Just for Women Digital Mammography Centre in Overport on Tuesday 24 July. A percentage of all mammograms performed in October each year are donated to the organisations, Reach for Recovery and The Highway Hospice. This year a total of R140 000 was donated, R70 000 to each organisation.

“Lake, Smit & Partners is proud to aid in the effort to support breast cancer survivors by recognising Reach for Recovery. Highway Hospice provides palliative care for patients with terminal illnesses, as well as support for their carers and families. Lake, Smit & Partners likes to recognise these two worthy organisations every year by donating funds to support their work,” said Leigh Smit.
