Cat sterilisation clinic open

This is the first of regular clinics to help people who are looking after stray cats, to have them sterilised to prevent unwanted kittens.

CATS of Durban, a volunteer-based feral and stray sterilisation agency, is holding a public clinic for the sterilisation of stray and feral cats in Merebank on Sunday, 29 July at the Merebank Veterinary Clinic.

This is the first of regular clinics to help people who are looking after stray cats, to have them sterilised to prevent unwanted kittens.

Anyone looking after a stray cat, who wishes to have the cat neutered or spayed at a massively reduced cost, is welcome to apply to be included.

The cost will be R350 per cat, payable on arrival and includes sterilisation and a rabies injection.

All cats must be admitted in a proper carrier or cat trap. The cat’s ear will be clipped to designate it as a stray.
Anyone who wishes to book a place at the sterilisation clinic should contact Candice at 083 282 5529.
