Renew your liquor licence

BEREA SAPS held a joint operation with its focus on business licences and liquor compliance on Friday 13 July from 10pm.

According to Capt Poobalan Naidoo from Berea SAPS, a business in Florida Road was found to be operating without a valid liquor licence. The owner was charged and liquor was confiscated.

A MAN was arrested for theft on 16 July in Florida Road.

According to Capt Naidoo, at around 1.45pm, a man working in Florida Road left his office to go to the shop.

“He closed his office door but did not lock it. When he got back his colleague told him that someone was in his office. The man asked him to leave and a few minutes later he noticed his cellphone was missing,” said Naidoo.

The man went after the thief and caught him at the intersection of Currie and Montpelier Roads.
