Help needed in rape case

The Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is looking for information to help solve a case of rape.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community to help with information regarding a case of rape it is investigating.

According to Const Zanele Khomo, it is alleged that on 11 January at about 10.30am, a 36-year-old woman was in Victoria Street, Durban, with a man she knew to be a traditional healer.

“The man gave her some medication (muti) which made her dizzy, and then raped her. Police believe the man they have an identikit of can be of assistance in solving the case,” said Khomo.
