Foundation cleans up

Members of the international WeLoveU Foundation in Durban held a clean-up at Kenneth Gardens.

MEMBERS of the International WeLoveU Foundation participated in the 2018 Clean World Movement at Kenneth Gardens and Hutchinson Road, Umbilo, this month.

Clean Day was started by WeLoveU Foundation chairwoman, Zahng Gil-jah, in line with the issue of climate change, the threat to life and the need to protect the earth’s environment.

About 30 members of the International WeLoveU Foundation in Durban, and neighbours who were interested in solving social problems, collected 400kg of garbage during three hours at Kenneth Gardens and surrounds.

Councillor Thembi Nzuza from eThekwini Municipality welcomed the members of the Foundation who gathered to develop the clean movement and said she was pleased that the members participated in this clean-up initiative in the area.
