Assistance sought by police

The men in the identikit can be of an assistance in solving the case.

THE Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for help in a case of kidnapping and rape they are investigating.

It is alleged that between 16 and 18 April, a 24-year-old victim was at the pub in Point area, Durban, when she met with an unknown man. As they were drinking, he asked her to accompany him to the bank to withdraw some cash.

Whilst on the way, they were joined by another man and they ended up in a room where she was raped. When the victim woke up she discovered that she was in Mamelodi township, Pretoria, and has no idea how she got there.

Police believe the men in the identikit can be of assistance in solving the case. Anyone with information of their whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Constable Dlani on 031 325 4135 or the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
