THE professional chef competition with the biggest prize pool in the country is back, and you’re invited to bring your passion, bring your experience and bring your game for this year’s Unilever Chef of the Year competition.

Join the professionals and the up-and-coming in a clash of talent, skill, determination and passion – with the chance to win up to R15 000 in cash. Entry is open to senior chefs (more than five years’ experience and over 25 years old), who stand in line to win the R15 000 first prize, R10 000 second prize or R5 000 third prize. All it takes is the right combination of passion, experience, ambition and skill to win. Junior chefs aged between 18 and 25 and with less than five years’ experience are in line for R10 000, R6 000 and R4 000 for first, second and third place respectively.

If you’re up for the challenge, register now by emailing your name, surname, contact number and category you wish to enter (senior or junior) to entries@coty2018.co.za.

A representative will be in contact to finalise your entry, which consists of a recipe for a three-course meal for three pax using Unilever Food Solutions products.

Regional semi-finals take place between 31 July and 2 August, when six finalists per category will earn their place in the finals on 5 September.

“This is when endurance and nerve are put to the test as the contestants receive a mystery basket of ingredients from which to create a three-course meal using Unilever Food Solutions products and some of the finest fresh produce in the country,” said Craig Elliott, Executive Chef of Unilever Food Solutions.
