Honesty the best policy for Bulwer ambassador
Patric Cira has been recognised for his honesty.
THE honest actions of Bulwer Ambassador, Patric Cira, has been commended by the Bulwer Community Improvement Project’s Heather Rorick.
Rorick said Cira had found an envelope of money containing R4 000 which was dropped on the pavement outside Woolworths by an elderly man, which he handed in. In the second incident, a woman dropped her purse containing R1 400 under her car in the parking lot at Woolworths and drove off.

Another woman did the same, with Cira finding the purse containing R700 lying on the ground and also returning a bag which had been left in a trolley, which contained R300. He also alerted a customer from Olive and Oil that she had forgotten her handbag.
“In all cases, every cent was accounted for and each person gave Patric something small as a reward. This is excellent work and the directors of the Bulwer Community Improvement Project and I are very proud of him. He has been working for a year with us and never complains. He is always cheerful, never takes time off or is off sick and takes his job very seriously,” said Heather.
The manager of Woolworths, Billy Hattingh, said Cira was an asset to the Bulwer Community Improvement Project.
“In two of the cases we had to call the owners of the purses found by Patric as they hadn’t realised they were missing. There are several other cases where Patric has brought property into the store which has been left by customers. He is always here early before 7am and is seen cleaning the car park for our customers,” he said.
