Police welcomed the fact that suspects were beginning to contact the investigating officers in order for them to have their day in court and said they encouraged outstanding suspects to do so immediately before police officers pounce on them.

Earlier this week, police, in conjunction with the senior public prosecutor,  released a number of images of individuals they believed could help them in their investigation into the violence. Police appealed  to those captured on the images to please contact the investigating officers immediately. A request was also made to anyone who recognised the individuals to also contact Capt Reddy on 082 458 5630 or Detective Warrant Officer Mlungwana on 082 662 7764.
