Education volunteers needed

uShaka Sea World is looking for new education volunteers.

IF you are between 18 and 70 years old, have a passion for marine conservation, free time during the week or weekend, can get to uShaka Sea World easily and are prepared to work for no salary, then you could apply to be an education guide.

During May, the uShaka Sea World Education Centre will be accepting applications for new volunteers. No academic qualifications, biological or educational experience is necessary as you will receive comprehensive training before taking up duties in the aquarium or Dangerous Creatures exhibition. What is needed is enthusiasm, a passion for the environment and an ability to communicate with people of all ages. The ability to speak fluently in English is also essential.

Two presentations will be held at the uShaka Sea World Education Centre to explain how the volunteer programme works. One will be held in the morning on Thursday, 3 May at 10am and the other in the evening on Tuesday, 8 May at 6pm.

To book your seat at one of the presentations, contact Kathy Drummond on 031 328 8192 or email kdrummond@seaworld.org.za.
