Take note of Tour Durban road closures

There will be full road closures for the Tour Durban cycle race on Sunday, 29 April.

MOTORISTS are urged to take note of road closures for this Sunday’s Tour Durban cycle race.

On race day, Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue will be closed between 5.30am and 2.30pm, Margaret Mncadi (Esplanade) Avenue will be closed from 5.30am to 8am and the M4 South will be closed from 5.30am to 8.30am.

The M7 Edwin Swales and M19 to Pinetown will be closed to traffic between 6am and 9.30am, the M19 Pinetown to Umgeni Road will be closed from 6.15am to 10am, Inanda Road (Springfield Park) will be closed from 6.30am to 10.15am, Riverside Road will be closed from 6.30am to 10.30am and the M4 North (both sides) will be closed from 6.30am to 2pm.

Parking is available in the parking lot opposite the People’s Park and Kings Park Swimming Pool. There will be a parking fee.

Access to the parking will be from Sandile Thusi (Argyle Road), turning onto Battery Beach Road past Suncoast main entrance and left under the M4 bridge to the parking area opposite Kings Park via Suncoast Casino.

Access from the North will be via Northway onto Athlone Drive to Blue Lagoon and along Snell Parade towards Suncoast, turning right at the circle just before Suncoast under the M4 to the parking opposite Kings Park Swimming Pool.
