All smiles for term two

After an overwhelming first day in Grade one, a photo which was captured and published in Berea Mail, Ndalenhle Gwala was all smiles on the first day of the second term.

GRADE one learner at Durban Primary School, Ndalenhle Gwala was a changed boy when Berea Mail visited him on the first day of the second term of school this week.

A teary Ndalenhle was featured on the front page of the Berea Mail on his first day of ‘big school’ this year, a photo which pulled at the heart strings of his teacher, principal and the community.

“He was so overwhelmed on his first day at school and took a few days to get used to it, but then he was a different person! When we showed him his photo in Berea Mail, he said ‘that’s me!'” said his teacher, Jenna van Niekerk.
