Brighton Beach police seek assistance

Police are appealing to the community for help in locating a man they believe can help in their investigations.

BRIGHTON Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for help with a case of rape they are investigating.

According to police, it is alleged that on 16 August 2017, a 24-year-old woman was with her friends at a pub in Helen Joseph Road when a man forced her into his vehicle and drove off.

When they reached his  home in S section, Umlazi, he allegedly raped her, assaulted and strangled her.

However, she managed to escape and was allegedly assisted in reporting the incident to the police by a relative of the suspect.

The police believe that the man in the attached picture can assist them in solving the case.
