Scores flock to Easter egg hunt

Despite the weather, Durbanites enjoyed the Beacon Easter Eggsplorer at Durban Botanic Gardens on Saturday.

DURBAN’S biggest Easter Egg hunt was enjoyed by young and old at the Durban Botanic Gardens at the weekend.

From Butterfly Garden to Alien Ally, the Beacon Easter Bunny left a trail of giant Easter eggs throughout the Botanic Gardens for the older ‘eggsplorers’ to seek out, while the younger ‘eggsplorers’ had a dedicated hunt area.

The ‘eggsplorers’ were given a map and clues that took them through the gardens’ key areas and attractions collecting stickers, after taking on plenty obstacle challenges, to make sure this was an Easter egg hunt to remember.

Proceeds from the Sticky Fingers Cupcake making stand went towards ‘Feeding the Furballs’, a non-profit organisation that rescues stray animals.

A portion of the proceeds raised went towards the Durban Botanic Gardens Trust to fund vital conservation work.
