Assistance sought in kidnapping case

Police believe that the men they have identikits of can assist in solving the case.

THE community is urged to assist Durban Central police in a case of kidnapping, theft and using a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

It is alleged on 23 November at about 11pm, a taxi driver was driving a metred taxi along Market Road when he received a call requesting a pickup at Lotus Park.

“He picked up two unknown men who pointed a firearm at him and instructed him to drive. They drove with him to an unknown place where they were joined by two other men who took his vehicle, cellphone, bank cards and cash. They later dropped him in Umlazi and returned his vehicle which was damaged,” said Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central.

Police believe that the men they have identikits of can assist in solving the case.
