Awareness courses designed for learners

Shane Comley-White specialises in training and teaching individuals how to be more aware of their surroundings.

DYNAMIC Impact is offering courses on anti-bullying, rape awareness and more, for local school learners and educators.

Shane Comley-White, a martial arts instructor and qualified bodyguard, specialises in training and teaching individuals how to be more aware of their surroundings and how to be prepared for the future.

“I have been in talks with a couple schools in the Gauteng area and have developed five programmes for the high school levels and one for the lower levels,” he said.

The high school levels are added into the Life Orientation subjects and include a bullying awareness talk for Grade 8s, a hijacking awareness course for Grade 12s, a girls’ rape awareness and boys’ general self defence courses for Grade 9s, team building focusing on safety and awareness for Grade 11s, an advanced self defence skills, tactics, mental and physical fitness and preparation course for Grade 10s and a hijacking awareness course for parents. All courses are R250 per person.

For the lower grades (primary school) there is a class by class programme designed to bring to attention the reality of bullying, and how to not be a bully. It incorporates songs, role play and questions and answers. It is designed to reach each person directly so they all feel comfortable to participate in smaller groups. Cost is R150 per person.

If your school is interested in any of these courses, which will be run throughout the year, contact Shane Comley-White on 084 359 8280 or email shane@inmdk.co.za.
