LISTEN: M7 closed after fatal crash
Traffic is currently at a standstill on the M7 highway.
ONE person was killed and another two injured when a truck overturned and crashed into two cars before colliding with three more cars on the M7 earlier today (Thursday, 21 December).
The two people who were successfully extricated from the vehicle sustained moderate injuries.
Garrith Jamesion of Rescue Care Paramedics said, “The truck was coming down the N2 south bound and took the M7 off-ramp and somehow overturned, crashing into two cars and colliding with a further three cars.
The road has been closed and traffic is at a standstill. Recovery teams and investigators are still on scene.
