The body of a man was found on the M13 bridge in Sherwood, KwaZulu Natal this morning by a local security service who alerted paramedics and police.
Reports indicate that the 23-year-old Sherwood man, Mohamed Yusuf Janoo Joosub, was stabbed and robbed as he was walking to work at Westwood Mall this morning.
According to Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the scene at approximately 08h23 to Joosub’s body lying on the side of the road.
Paramedics found that he had sustained a fatal stab wound to his chest. Unfortunately, he had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead by another service.
Police are investigating.
