Side walk monitor shows commitment
Derrick Cele has received a number of compliments for his hard work in Florida Road.
CONGRATULATIONS to Florida Road UIP’s Derrick Cele, who has received a number of compliments recently from business owners and the public.
Prior to being hired as a sidewalk monitor in 2015, Derrick worked on the road as a car guard for many years and has a strong sense of community and pride in the road. According to Jarrod Evans, precinct manager for Florida Road UIP, this has resulted in him helping members of the community with their shopping bags, watering the tree bowls along his “stretch” of road, and alerting the UIP security of suspicious behaviour, even intervening where he can.
“We thank Derrick for being such an integral part of the Florida Road story,” said Jarrod.
