Grannies blessed at tea

Local ladies were treated to gifts as part of the Bless-a-Granny Spring Tea.

THE Robin Hood Foundation collaborated with Lauren Ginn Accessories and Chateaux Gateaux to host a Spring Tea at Essenwood Home last week for nearly 100 residents.

The dining hall was abuzz with excitement, chatter and laughter as each woman received some luxury treats as well as a beautiful bracelet from Lauren Ginn Accessories and were also treated to tea time treats from Chateaux Gateaux.

Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator for Robin Hood, said: “We are so grateful that community hearts like Lauren Ginn and Anna Kelly are so invested in giving back to the community! Their kindness, coupled with the time the volunteers spent just chatting to these elderly ladies sharing some love and bringing them joy, really brightened their day!”

Chateaux Gateaux also donated a huge and delicious Chocolate Nostalgia cake as a 'thank you' to all the staff at Essenwood for all the love and care they show their residents day in and day out.
