Foundation funds school projects

The Victor Daitz Foundation funded a new sports pavilion and upgraded staff room at Open Air School.

OPEN AIR School celebrated the opening of the school’s newly-renovated staff room and new sport pavilion at a formal assembly recently.

Brian Moshal, managing trustee of the Victor Daitz Foundation, addressed the staff and learners with a very inspirational talk which was followed by the cutting of the ribbon and a high tea held in the staff room.

With staff numbers having increased over the years, the old staff room could not accommodate the staff complement and new facilities were required. The Sports Pavilion is a new addition to the school. It overlooks the astro-turf and does not only have an aesthetic value, but also a functional one as parents and learners can now sit in the pavilion and watch sporting activities.

The project was funded by the Victor Daitz Foundation, which has supported many projects that the Open Air School Trust has undertaken.
