Learners give back

Learners from local schools helped the Domino Foundation with its feeding scheme during the school vacation.

A GROUP of learners from Durban Girls’ College joined other city high school learners to work through The Domino Foundation’s Community Service Week during the July school holidays.

The learners embraced sandwich-making for the Foundation’s feeding programme, engaged with the toddlers at the Foundation’s Babies Homes and made story books for the crèches with which the early childhood development programme works.

They had their horizons stretched with presentations on anti-human-trafficking by the Red Light programme and on the journey of making good life decisions by a township community member.

Members of the group wrote, directed, acted in and edited short video presentations of their five days of activity, great marketing material to encourage their fellow pupils that The Domino Foundation is an excellent place to do their community service and be part of nation transformation.
