ATHLONE Bridge will be closed to traffic on Sunday as authorities determine the stability of the bridge.
Road closure will be from 7am on Sunday morning, 6 August.
The closure will allow for an essential monitoring survey to determine the stability of the Athlone Bridge. Kenneth Kaunda (Northway) will be closed between Athlone Drive and Humber Crescent.
Southbound traffic will be diverted at Humber Crescent and rerouted to Riverside Road via Tyne Place or Soofie Saheb Drive. Northbound traffic will be diverted at Athlone Drive towards Riverside Road via the M4.
