Gogo overwhelmed after winning car
A local domestic worker was the winner of a Hyundai I10 in SPAR's Win-a-Car Competition.
A VERY overwhelmed and overjoyed Lungile Mahaye was the winner of a brand-new Hyundai I10 in the Glenwood SuperSPAR Win-a-Car Competition on Friday.
Lungile, a regular shopper and domestic worker in the area, was entered into the competition which was run over five weeks.
Nishanee Maharaj, shop manager, said Lungile's SPAR rewards card was swiped at the till when she shopped at the SPAR and she was automatically entered into the competition.
Lungile arrived on Friday to a rousing welcome by store staff, who sang and danced with her until she reached the car which was parked outside the Glenwood Village Market Shopping Centre. When Nishanee handed her the keys and helped her sit in the driver's seat, Lungile was overcome and wept tears of joy.
