Three injured in early morning high speed collision

Debris from the wreckage of both vehicles was found strewn along a 200m length of the roadway.

THREE people were injured in a collision involving two light motor vehicles on the M4 in the early hours of this morning.

Crisis Medical paramedics  arrived at the scene shortly after midnight to find debris of the wreckage of both vehicles spread over a 200m length of the northbound carriage way.

According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, the 27-year-old female driver of a BMW, lost control of her vehicle at high speed, sideswiping a Toyota Etios before the colliding with an Armco barrier and overturning several times finally coming to  rest on its roof in the centre median.

Drivers of both vehicles and a passenger of the Toyota sustained moderate injuries and were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital by Crisis Medical.

Police are investigating the incident.
